Kirsten Milhorn
Founder
Kirsten Reeder Milhorn is a mom, teacher, and child advocate, dedicated to helping kids navigate the digital world online. After her niece Sophie Reeder went missing and seeing the growing risks kids face online, she founded a nonprofit focused on developing an online safety curriculum that will be incorporated into the school system.

Jumorrow Poitier
Board Member
Jumorrow Terra Poitier is a distinguished leader, advocate, and subject matter expert in the fight against human trafficking and gender-based violence. With extensive experience supporting survivors, Jumorrow specializes in assisting individuals impacted by sexual battery and assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, domestic minor sex trafficking, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Her work is rooted in trauma-informed care, prevention education, and systemic collaboration to protect vulnerable populations and promote justice. Jumorrow is the President of the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition and the Founder and CEO of SheMeHer, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, educating communities, and supporting efforts to prevent and end sexual violence, domestic abuse, human trafficking, and child exploitation. Through SheMeHer, Inc., she also provides consulting services to organizations serving individuals affected by violence and trauma. A recognized leader on both local and global stages, Jumorrow has coordinated and facilitated high-level discussions on transnational crime, including human trafficking, in collaboration with Global Ties Miami, the FBI, Homeland Security, and local law enforcement. These engagements have brought together international dignitaries and officials from countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe to strengthen global awareness and cooperative response strategies. Jumorrow’s expertise and impact have earned her widespread recognition. She has been featured on NBC 6’s “In the Mix” and appeared on the 2019 cover of Good News Magazine as “a woman on the front line fighting human trafficking.” Her honors include the FBI Director’s Leadership Award (2020), the Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in human trafficking, the Superior Community Service Award from the Broward Crime Commission, the Ruby Award from Soroptimist, and the Community Trailblazer Award. She has also received Congressional Recognition from U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her outstanding and invaluable service. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jumorrow is a co-author of the Amazon #1 bestselling anthology Sister2Sister: Untold Stories of Courage, Connection & Community. She is a dynamic trainer, presenter, motivational speaker, activist, and advocate committed to empowering individuals and transforming communities. Above all, Jumorrow is a devoted wife and proud mother of one son, drawing strength and inspiration from her family as she continues her mission to create safer, more informed, and more resilient communities.

Detective Scaramucci (Ret.)
Board Member
Detective Scaramucci (Ret.) began his law enforcement career in 2004 and became a Detective with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office in 2008, specializing in Crimes Against Persons. After establishing a Human Trafficking Unit in 2014, he led operations resulting in hundreds of arrests of sex buyers, child predators, and traffickers, while helping identify hundreds of victims. He has worked state and federal investigations as a Task Force Officer with Homeland Security Investigation and continues to support operations nationwide and internationally. In 2023, he became the Director of Law Enforcement Training and Operations for SGS where he trains and supports agencies across the U.S. and abroad in combating human trafficking.

Brittany Wallman
Board Member
Brittany Wallman is an investigative reporter with the Miami Herald. She has been a reporter in South Florida for 28 years, and shared in the South Florida Sun Sentinel’s 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, for coverage of the Parkland school shooting. She grew up in Iowa and Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Florida. Brittany knew Sophie when she was a young girl attending daycare with Brittany’s daughter. She never forgot Sophie. Never will.

Erin McCall

Erin McCall is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience supporting and empowering young learners. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and specializes in early childhood education, with a strong focus on English language development and literature. Throughout her career, Erin has been committed to creating safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments where children can build confidence, develop a love for reading, and express themselves through language. She is passionate about meeting students where they are and guiding them toward academic and personal growth. In addition to her work in education, Erin is a mother, which further fuels her dedication to advocating for children’s safety, well-being, and success. Erin’s involvement with the Sophie’s Light Foundation is rooted in her deep commitment to protecting and uplifting children and families. She is honored to support the foundation’s mission to raise awareness and advocate for missing children, using her voice both inside and outside the classroom to make a meaningful impact.

Board Member
Mike Hill is a dedicated child advocate and Director of Digital Media at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). He leads a team of digital strategists and designers responsible for creating and managing content across NCMEC’s social media channels and website to raise awareness of the organization’s critical mission to protect children. With over 26 years of service at NCMEC, Mike has played a key role in developing prevention education resources that empower children to make safer choices online. Since 2002, he has been the voice of Clicky, the Internet safety robot, serving as the engaging face of NCMEC’s flagship NetSmartz online safety education program.
